Grass fed organic meats

Can't they use silage/haylage rather than grain? It will reduce stocking levels but keep production local and fewer external inputs.
I lived in the Alps where they did two hay cuts in the lower meadows whilst the cows were on the mountain pastures in summer. That was for dairy in the main, and the beef cattle were lower down towards the plain. Even during my period there though there was increasing use of concentrates for winter, which had significant impact on cheese quality.0 -
Does anyone know if there's an online seller or grass fed organic meats?
There's a UK based shop but they don't deliver to Ireland.
Have you contacted the Irish Organic Farmers & Growers Association?
