I've just watched this show :-
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b08rnzrb/the-great-village-green-crusade
Not exactly 'cutting edge' I'm afraid but still worth a look.
Presenter managed to review renewable energy generation without ever mentioning the FIT scheme. Perhaps forgivable if it was a brand new show but it was said that he'd filmed it over a couple of years (and I don't think even the end shots were done this year).
Some of the examples were over-trivialised and he seemed anxious to hop on a jet across the pond rather than doing some more effective local research (but if we licence payers were funding the trips I guess it made some perverse sense

My PC/broadband aren't up to watching programmes online ... what does it say?
Ah, found the subtitles online. Renewable energy.
Yes we'd all do it, we all like it - and if it were affordable/achievable by the average person we'd all do it....0 -
I haven't got a TV or licence so can't watch it, but there was an article in The Guardian about the programme:

The presenter has a big show on youtube called fully charged about renewables and electric cars which is definately worth a watch. He also plays Kryten in Red Dwarf!Mortgage Free 22/03/17

Anyone looking for something to watch will enjoy the latest presentation by Tony Seba.
The first 30 mins is interesting, the second 30 mins is shocking with fact/cost based predictions on the rate at which disruption could impact ICE cars, PV rollout, expensive oil (tar sands, fracking) and others.
Well worth a watch.

I read his book "Clean Disruption." Due to the speed of battery progress and other technology, he's had to bring his dates forward a bit. HMGov don't have a clue what's coming very quickly, even though I've told my local MP the minister for transport......The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

If Tony's right, and he has a great track record, then it might not be a good idea to buy another car.
This presentation points out that removing the need for parking would free up enough space in Los Angeles for 3 San Francisco's. Wow.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 28kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.
