My daughter is requesting a pink guitar for the third year running. We have avoided buying her one until now as we were hoping it was just a whim but it might be third time lucky-only problem is we have absolutely no idea what we are looking at it could say anything and we would believe it- Any ideas on what would be best for a 9 year old!
Thanks in Advance

My daughter was in the same position, asked every year for three years and then saw School Of Rock when it became a demand ! She started playing two years ago and now owns a cheap Behringer Electric Guitar/Amp combo which was only £100, came set up by the seller and strung with thin strings for little fingers. It is a very nice guitar, the amp is excellent, a great sound with loads of effects built in, but it was a struggle to handle and play being full size but she has ended up mastering it.
She has just sold her Wii and bought a Daisy Rock acoustic electric in metallic purple and pink and now can't put it down.
If your daugter is a girl who sticks at things and you are willing to invest £10 a week for a 1/2 hour lesson then I suggest you seek out a Daisy Rock. The guitars are made especially for girls and women, without getting technical everything is just a little lighter/closer/smaller for womens fingers, she will be able to play it easier, quicker and will want to play it more often.
They may look girly but they are excellent quality and sound, they retain their value unlike the cheap ones making them easy to sell if she gives up.
They can be expensive but there are one or two bargains about
