5 week month

Hi I hope someone can advise me on this.
I work for a large company, I have a 30 hour a week contact, we don't get a overtime rate, acceptable we know this. We get paid on the 25th of every month.
So the sum goes, 30 hour x 52 weeks 1560 x hourly rate = annual wage ÷ 12 = my basic pay ÷ hourly rate =130 hours pay. I understand that is to adjust for the so called 5 week month.
Fair enough, now I worked over my hours , didn't get paid for all of them, asked my manager and she said it is the 5 week month thing. I said that is accounted for in the sum. I contacted our HR department in London, she said she had never heard of it. If you work 30 hours we pay for 30 if you work 35 we pay for 35 ( in next month). Payroll in our area are saying that is how it works because we work different hours in the 4 weeks, so in week 5 you would owe us hours. I now need to talk to her line manager.
Do I have my facts correct before I go further.
I hope that I have explained alright.
Many thanks

there is no such thing as a 5 week month on monthly pay.
there can be upto 4 x 5 weekend months a year
(this year it is 3 + 3 1.5 weekend months)
you overtime pay may not hit the same month if there is a cut off date.
you should still get the 1/12 + extras for the weeks that fit in the accounting period for that month.0 -
you get paid the same amount every calendar month, regardless of how many days are in that month. You get a salary, not a wage.0

Do you mean you worked overtime last month but didn't get paid it? If so how is overtime recorded down as it might be this that is the problem:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

I'm on monthly pay and depending on the month sometimes get paid 4 weeks, some months 5 weeks.
We are paid on the last Friday of every month.0 -
No we are always paid on 25th or nearest.
I mean I worked 20 hours more , between my known cut off dates and got paid for 5 additional hours. I questioned it and was told it's because of the 5 week month thing!
Not having it.
It doesn't exist.0 -

If the normal pay was ok and they just added 5 of the 20 hr overtime the question to ask is when the other 15 will be credited.
In the background get the official pay periods, pay day and overtime cut-off dates confirmed to deal with the timing of payments in the future.
Some battles need to be considered.0
