Help with Credit report!
Hello there. I have been reading this site for a while now and I finally have a question!
I recently received my Equifax credit report. I have 2 defaults that were issued in Sept 2001. My equifax report last month showed a D for default in Sept and a S for settled in Oct for both accounts.
As it has now been 6 years I checked again today to see if these have been removed. They havent so I asked a question through the website as to why this was.
Out of interest, I thought I would check with Experian to see if they had come off my report there. Experian show that both defaults will not come off until 08/08!!
How can info between two reference agencies be so different? I am sick of this now, I have learnt my lesson and have had to wait 6 years for my life to be back to normal!
I have sent this question to experian too asking why the date has changed, but can anyone shed any light on this? I have 2 cards now that are both well below limit and managed very well, I have not missed a payment for 3 years and we are wanting to go for a mortgage. This is all holding me up.
Any help would be much appreciated
Ross
