Mam Brady doesn't know what she's doing but Gotta be better than Doing Nothing

So Hi Guys ...

You might have noticed I posted a little while ago on the main thread when I had my LB moment :T

I don't know why but I just woke up a few weeks ago and the realisation hit ... I'm 40 next year (OMG) and I soooo need to sort myself out ..

So bit background its me and my 2 teen boys (they are fab guys .. Metal heads who manage to eat anything and everything I bring into the house and still manage to be stick thin :o ) then there's my OH who also has a lil boy who comes over 3-4 nights a week ... I call us the Bradys ... We're a mixed bunch but wouldn't change it ... we get on fab !

So like I say a few weeks ago it hit ... I realised I'm not getting any younger and my guys are gonna be wanting to go to uni soon (well few years but fingers crossed) one of the boys is determined to study law and wants to join the military ... He's soooo clever (top of his year for most subjects) and I don't want my finances to hold him back, the other is one of these kids who can find a cheat or hack or the easy way to do anything .. I'm sure Mr gates would love him lol but I know he has SOO much potential.

The debt I have amassed is from when the boys dad left and last year I had an extension built and the costs ran over ...

So Ive looked at my debts and after picking myself of the floor I have written them all down and started my plan of action ;)

I decided that the savings I had built up weren't doing anything in my account so I used that to pay 2 credit cards off and a bit off another ... At present it now stands at £12500 bCard. £1775 TSB. £3983. Virgin ....

So plan of action is to just trow everything I've got at it and hopefully within the next 3 years it should be paid :T

I'm currently waiting for the cheque from one of my savings accounts to clear £910 but I do need to take £200 out for boys guitar lessons, but that does leave £710 to chip at it next week :T

I'm busy going through my wardrobe and cuboards, anything that's not used anymore or I haven't taken the tags off :o is going on ebay .. I have a couple of things finishing next week that have bids on .. Yay ! ... Anyone have any tips to max selling ?

I'm a working mum and have two jobs both of which I love, yep I'm a lucky lady ;) I think the fact that I've managed financially has meant ive never really thought about it when really I should of started doing this ages ago .. But better late than never as my gran always said :T

Like I said I've never tried doing this before so fingers crossed but I am the kind of person who does get a bit obsessed and needs to finish what I start .. Hopefully

I'm pretty old style (love that forum as well) and I'm thinking if I post regular on here then hopefully that'll help and you guys will hopefully keep me on track as well .. Please :D

So any advice would be fandabulousis as I said I'm not really sure what im doing but it's gotta be better than nothing ...

Day one at the Brady House ....

Got in from job number 2 this morning and decided to start a diary .. Hence the post ;)

After doing my workouts .. Yep I'm a bit of a self confessed keep fit freak. I've baked cookies and ginger sponge for today and after dinner tonight, all ingredients already in so no need to buy anything .. Whoop !!
Oh and I've had 2 late payng ebay sales come through ... Yay !! When I get £100 in PayPal gonna pay off the V card.

So off to make tonight's dinner and hopefully I'll be able to drag the boys down and do a movie night tonight .. Bribery with some choccies I've stashed might work

So hope you lot have a fab Saturday ... Speak soon ...

Day 2 in the Brady House ..

oh and lil one have just left so it's peace and quiet (how can I say that with 2 teenagers in the house lol) ...

Gotta say I made a pretty impressive brekkie this morning of home made cinnabons (and even had a few left over to put in the freezer for next weekend ;) ) I also sneakily used up some chicken that I had in the fridge that needed to be used today so avoided nipping out to Tescos and spending .. So another NSD for me whoop ! :T
Beef stew in the slow cooker for dinner which smells delish .. Mmmmm

Did my workouts this morning using my jillian michaels and Leslie Sanson DVDs, I always feel great after I finish them but God only knows what kind of mess I look like lol ... But hey they are free and it's keeping me fit and healthy (or so I tell myself)

I've managed to list a few more bits on eBay today so fingers crossed for those next week .. and my phones been dinging away with bids on a few things that I have finishing tonight .. I don't think there's any massive sales but all those pennies count as my old gran used to say :j

Well gotta go my eBay listings are finishing as we speak so I'm off to see if I have any money coming in to pay off those cc's

Have a fab night guys and just think a brand new sparkly week starts tomorrow ...

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.
