Hi

Can anyone recommend a good restuarant in Belfast in December that is not serving Christmas fayre.

Thanks

I´d have thought most restaurants wont force you to eat turkey if you dont want to

Benedicts or Tony Romas would be my choices...

Any chinese or themed restaurant. I think though that most places continue with their normal menu and have xmas fayre as an extra

Is it for a christmas office do but not christmas food? Or is it for a totally non-christmas related occasion?

The only way to avoid the loaded costs that most restaurants put on for Christmas Fayre (where, granted, other meal options are available) are the likes of Chinese and Indian restaurants. Unfortunately for us customers it is just an annual rip-off!
One alternative is to leave it until January, which is starting to gain popularity.

Thanks everyone for your help. Nar, I think you're spot on, it is a rip-off and January sounds like a good option.

i've eaten in the oxford exchange over christmas and it was very nice. the only problem with anywhere you go is that there will be rowdy christmas office parties going on around you whereever you go...which can be a pain if you are trying to have a coupley dinner
  • 2taps in the Cathedral Quarter might be worth a try. Some people from our work did that last year and they really liked it. It wasn't too hectic either. And it was just their normal tapas food. Cheapish too apparently (or normal non-Xmas prices)

The Northern Whig has a normal menu available during December.
