I was sure you can't collect Nectar points in Debenhams - since ages ago ... yet on Debenhams website it says you can? Can someone enlighten me please? Thanks.

My friend bought a sofa (£2000) and didn't know that debenhams redeems nectar points and when I told her she was too late as they redeem only within 24hours.0

Humph! I feel really cross now as I shop in there ALL the time. Did they withdraw it for a time? Or am I just loopy?0

They do still give points but they stopped their people asking if you had a nectar card when you bought anything. If you say that you have a card then they put the points on.Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0

That makes a lot of sense! :mad:0

skintlass is right, thep stopped asking, probably in the hope that people would soon forget about it. I usually remember, but spent £60 last week and forgot!Mortgage Free as of 03/07/2017 :beer:0

I know about it and I forget all the time too -, infact the only times I have remembered have been when I've spent a small amout - a very small amount. Wonder what would happen if you bought something - got the points then returned said item for some reason, would they take the points away?

nectar has a policy with nectar partners that they dont ask automatically for cards, i work for a partner and ask customers who i felt that i have built a good repor with, others already know, please read your nectar statments for partners (nectars words not mine) that you can get points from to make the best of the scheme....conversly i filled in a survey i found on mse yesterday so did not have my card when i purchased to in debanums today:mad:Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

I believe that Debenhams were getting a little annoyed about virtually everyone spending "proper" money elsewhere (eg Sainsburys), and then redeeming their Nectar points in Debenhams. They were on the verge of pulling out of the scheme, from what I can remember.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 #18 £2021.83 declared0

I seem to remember that they did ask to take the points away - but if you don't have your nectar card with you ..... hmmmm.0
