Want help with choosing an integrated washing machine

I have been browsing through Moneysavingexpert forum for a while now for advise, but this is my first post.

I am renovating my kitchen and replacing some of the appliances. Howdens included a bosch dishwasher in the quote. I need to buy a hob and a washing machine now. Currently I have a Hotpoint integrated washing machine I have been using for 6 years and still works. A friend told that I was lucky for the hotpoint to last so long and I should consider replacing it along with the Kitchen.

I found the Whirlpool AWOC 0714 integrated washing machine for £199. This comes with 2 year warranty and 10 year parts warranty. This model is now discontinued so the cheaper price. The machine was originally released in 2012 and has really good reviews on reevoo.

I am not sure how good Whirlpool brand is in the long run. If this is not a good option, can someone suggest a decent integrated washing machine.

Which magazine did a washing machine trial in May 2017. Your local library should hold copies - have a look at what they have to say (the trial included integrated as well as free standing washing machines).

I recently took a Which subscription. They only reviewed 24 washing machines and the one I am considering is not one of them. Also the cheapest one on Which with similar specs is a £360 Indesit.

@pun are you talking about the issue which has the article "Appliance brands you can trust"? This included all kinds of appliances. I see no whirlpool appliances in this test. I was able to find reviews on the which website for integrated washing machines though where they give a % value for each appliance.

I personally would go for a Bosch or Neff (Same company)

I second Bosch, more expensive but works out cheaper in the long run.
  • If the current machine is working fine why not stick with it?

It's only a case of removing the kickboard if it breaks at a future date and sliding the old one out?

The new one will probably need replacing at some point as nothing lasts forever. (especially these days)
