I'd agree with others that your CV isn't as bad as you think. Lots of short term jobs can be red flag but only if the pattern suggests that you don't stick around. Being made redundant (particularly if the whole firm closed down) is out of your control so it doesn't raise those flags. And your jobs are not really short term, they're all a couple of years.
I'd agree with the suggestion to consider whether you might be able to take in a lodger temporarily to boost your income a little, so you can afford to do the maintenance you need.
Is temping a possibility for you?
also - have you taken any advice about you CV etc, to see whether you can better sell yourself, or whether there are any areas where training to expand your skills might pay off? I am not sure what type of work you are doing but is it possible that there are relatively small changes you could make which would expand your 'pool' of potential jobs?All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0
