Title Deeds Query!

Options
Hi all!

We have a mortgage with Barclays for a house purchased last year.

After the purchase completed, out solicitors sent the original title deeds to us (not copies)

I've checked the land registry and they don't have copies of the deeds for our property.

What does this mean in terms of our mortgage?

The house was built in 1890

TIA

Not any longer. Land registry records are now all digital.

Have you checked recently? Check the land registry site and see if the price paid data is available, that will tell you the date of last sale recorded.

Not quite sure what you did when you "checked the land registry", but if you're the registered owner and Barclays have a registered charge then everything is as it should be. The whereabouts of the papery things doesn't matter.

What did your solicitors' letter accompanying the deeds say?
