Self cert or similar mortgage

Hi,
We are looking to move house.
The loan that we require is 30% loan to value and we are looking to buy a property that is the same value as our own.. Being self employed we are struggling to find a self cert mortgage.
Has anyone been a similar position? Any ideas of any lender an this country or in Europe that could help us please.
Thank you in advance for any information advice that you maybe able to offer.

. Being self employed we are struggling to find a self cert mortgage.

Liar loans were seen as one of the causes of the credit crunch. This is why they were pulled.

Self employment should not be the reason for the struggle. Affordability will be the issue. So, what is the probable with the affordability? Do you not earn enough or do you spend too much?

There was a self cert lender but the rates were high and I think they ran out of money pretty sharpish.

Why can you not get a normal mortgage? As dunston says, self employed does not mean you can not get a Mortgage. I know 2 lenders who would consider you after 10 months tranding, another 6-7 lenders who would accept you with 1 years accounts.
