Hi All,
Too put a long story short I have 3 defaults on my record, 1 is with capital one for £220, which was August 2012, the other is £300 ish around May 2014 and the big one which is Lloyds which was May 2013 and £2400. All are finished, Lloyds was cleared in August 2015, the cap one was cleared in around 2016 (i kept using it after one default but closed it in March 2016) and the £300 was cleared in 2015. Barclays mortgage manager stated that it is the Lloyd default which is being flagged on the MIP. Although the mortgage brokers that Taylor Wimpey used said I will have to wait 6 years. Although Barclays did say after 3 years since clearing Lloyds I would be considered, So that would be September 2018. My big worries are about the amount I will have to put down, as we are looking at doing the Help to Buy wales scheme, and will only put 5% down (cos that all we will have). And will these on my record stop me from being to do the help to buy scheme? Will I be able to apply for mortgages elsewhere with these on my record? Any help would be much appreciated.
