She should be telling you when to expect another update.
We are two working days on from being with underwriters so I expect today will be a little early.
Have you MA tell you each time when you will get your next update, then you can call if you do not get it.I am a Mortgage Broker

Thanks
The MA had originally said that I should hear at the end of last week as it was for additional borrowing not a full morgage application .. I just assumed that when she hadent called it was because she hadn't heard anything .. I know her day off is tomorrow hence why I was thinking of calling today ?DFW

If she said the end of last week, so should have updated you at the end of last week, even if just to say 'no news'.
Phone her up and tell her off.I am a Mortgage Broker

She said be doing what she said she would.
If she is not, you are not pestering her, you are giving her the opportunity to bring her service up to standard.I am a Mortgage Broker

Im with AMN (I seem to be saying that a lot recently). If someone tells you when to expect an update and it goes beyond that, you are free to call them. Likewise if they do not "set your expectations" with when to expect to hear back, then I would be calling them every day or 2.

ACG, my view is that a broker shouldn't get a call asking what's happening as the clients should know when to expect the next update.I am a Mortgage Broker

Completely agree. I always give people time frames a little longer than the lender tells me, so that I have time to get an update, check it and go back to the customer without them needing to chase me.
My pet hate is when I tell people not to expect to hear before x and I get a call before x.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. On Thursday you said that your MA said the application was in a queue. This suggests that receiving an answer by the end of last week was unlikely. The underwriting teams won't be working at weekends or on bank holidays.0
