Pensions in probation

Awynne
Awynne Posts: 1 Newbie
I worked for my local council for a 6 month probationary period and then my job role was no longer needed. During this time I contributed close to £900 and they contributed almost £1800...

Where does this money go or is there any way in which I can claim at least my contributions back? It seems stupid to have this when I'm going to be working for the next 40 years!

Thanks
A

Please re-post this on the main pension forum since hardly anyone looks into this sub forum.
