How to pay for Education in the US

Best options IMO would really be bursaries (if available), savings - ornif neither are possible then potentially long term 0% money transfer cards.
Only use option 3 if you can afford to pay it back before the interest free period expires0 -
How much money are you talking (in total and per annum)?0

If she is really good at sport then it might be worthwhile, and the college could arrange a sports bursary.
Otherwise this would be a bad move: while some US universities are outstandingly good at graduate level, at undergraduate level standards are almost universally lower than in Britain or most of Europe.0 -

Seconded! I'd be very wary of this. There are thousands of universities and colleges in the US but their freshman and the first half of their sophomore years are like our A levels. Their honours degrees are like our ordinary degrees and their Masters are like our honours degrees. IIRC, only their doctoral degrees are like ours.
They've got a massive quantity of higher education over there but the quality isn't recognised internationally as being at proper degree level. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Is any funding available from wherever the opportunity is? I did an exchange program for a semester, paid for by my uni.0

My daughter was approached by several US universities to go with a full bursary that included fees, accommodation, medical, all sports-related expenses and a couple of trips home's flights. She chose in the end not to go. She was at the time pretty high up in her sport, so that isn't the norm.
If your daughter can get that sort of bursary it would probably be worth it.0 -
Have a look at the Fulbright Commission which has lots of information and resources to help with funding higher education in the US.0
