All good advice, not all of it applies but hey, I was deliberately vague! I think the dry run of simulating actual pension for 6 months is a good one, should bump up savings too! Still need to think of the answer to the question "so what do you do?"!!"For every complicated problem, there is always a simple, wrong answer"0

If your OH wont be working too (and has been used to you not being there) having outside interests will help domestic harmony.
when my OH is home all day, he tends to bother me about everything, from what I am watching/reading to what we are having for dinner, what temp did you set the thermostat and do you know where X is etc. A pain in the proverbial.
I will at least make sure he gets back to golfing as he used to do.0
