Hi all,
I sent off a statue barred letter a couple of weeks ago to Lowell and after reciving a reply saying how dissapointed they are that i don't want to admit the debt, they have now sent a letter saying "your comments have been noted and we will be in touch once the matter has been investigated"
Does anbody know what the likely next step will be.
The debt i definatly more than 6 maybe even 8 years old with no payments or communication being made by me in that time.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!

The next step is to ignore any of Lowell's witterings.:D
If the debt is Statute Barred they can do nothing.
If they continue to hassle you remind them of the part of the 'Statute Barred' letter that says:The OFT Debt Collection Guidance states that “continuing to press for payment after a debtor has stated that they will not be paying a debt because it is statute barred could amount to harassment contrary to section 40 (1) of the Administration of Justice Act 1970”, which again should you try and proceed to court I/we* will also use this as a defence.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
