As suggested the reserve will be on a much higher rate.
If staying with Barclays you take a further advance to repay the reserve account.
You could then end up with two elements to your mortgage on different products ending at different times.
If your current mortgage product is about to expire you may be able to coordinate everything so that the new products on the current lending and product on the further advance are timed to expire at the same time.I am a Mortgage Broker
