Fake HMRC text message being circulated

HMRC managed to close down tens of thousands of these scam email and text scams last year preventing in excess of 500,000 further contacts, but unfortunately the scammers just register new text accounts or domains.

IMO its time the ISP's and those who sell domains did more to help the fight against all scams.

It is frightening the number of people who click on the links and how many put their bank details in and submit them. I get on average 1 call a week from someone who's done it. That might not sound a lot but consider how many other advisers also get the same call.
