Who is my 'employer' for the purpose of a broker form?

Not my scenario but my partner's... on all our forms when applying for a mortgage we have to put 'employer details'. Our broker is submitting our application with my partner classified as a 'sole trader'. For the purposes of the form, is his 'employer': a) himself (therefore he puts his home address even though he's not a business), b) the company he is contracted to or c) the agency who sends him his payslips?
Thanks in advance

Is your partner under a umbrella scheme? If so then they are actually self employed so should put themselves down.
If they are a temp then they use the agency.0 -
Not a temp no, paid by an agency but contracted to a specific employer. I think it's by PAYE. I thought maybe as the agency 'pays' them, they would be his employer?0

I would say themself however it would be best to check with your broker who can check with the lender. As it depends on what you are working off in terms of income.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. The whole point of umbrella is they act as an employer.0

Did the Agency provide your partner with an employment contract?0
-
No there's no contracts involved at all. Thanks for your help everyone!0
