Hi all i have worked really hard and am debt and mortgage free, many thanks to this site for that! but i have MS (multiple sclerosis) and want a hot tub to rest my aching legs and muscles in, it sounds like a treat which i know it will be BUT it would benefit my aching body and also would be good for exercising in due to balance problems and walking difficulty, i just wondered if anyone knew of any cheap hot tubs or discounts?
Many thanks to all

Hi
I too like the idea of a Hot Tub and looked into hireing 1 but `living up north` seemed expensive.
We instead booked a weekend away with Hoseasons and had a lodge with hot tub, it was great and at £175 for the weekend cheaper than the hire charge.
Sophers - I do not know what your MS is like, but my sister too has it, so a few points to consider? Sorry if teaching you to suck eggs!
Getting into and out of the tub? The 1 we had at the lodge was sunken into decking but if we had 1 at home we would have it on the patio with steps into it. Had to be careful getting out.
You are suppose to shower before and after using it, you do smell like a swimming pool when you get out!
My thoughts are- if I put my two young boys in it before bed to relax and then had to shower them before bed-how relaxed would we all be then? You can get an extra thing in your hot tub to reduce the amount of chemicals-also seen some non chemical stuff on the market-need to look into it more.
The heat and how your body reacts.
I love to be warm but `went funny` after 1/2 an houre at top temp, know that when I went to a spa with my sister she could not stop in too long as although nice at first and good for her- too long sent her legs funny
We reduced the temp so we could stop in longer.
Still think I would like one, but might be out of a job soon, office relocating, might get 1 if I could get some redundancy money or should i spend it on a kitchen? Either way will have to wait until I get another job as I have been told they cost £30 a month to run.
Good li
uck and let us know what you do in the end.0
