conveyancer and land registry fee's question

We a re moving.

I have already appointed a solictor for the sale and purchase.

We must pay connveyancing fees and other incidentals such as the land registry search.

When these fee's are listed on the key facts do they mean we pay twice, or are they givinf an estimate of total fee's involved?

For example do we pay our solictor £150 for Land Registry search and also pay the lender another £150 for the same search.

Do we also pay out again for conveyancing fees for the mortgage lender?

you only pay the search fees once. the fees on the KFI are an estimate of what your legal fees will be. the fee you are paying to the solicitor will cover the solicitor acting for the lender as well.

If your solicitor makes a charge for filling out the land registry tax form, consider doing it yourself & saving the high fee. Quite a few people on these boards advocate doing this to save money on legal fee's.

I was going to go down this route myself, but my solicitor no longer makes a charge for filling out the form. :j

I am in the process or trying to find a solicitor for our house sale, when selling a house does this from need filling?
