I have always found contractdeals.com to be an excellent mobile contract search engine.

I used to spend ages manually searching all the sites, but having done several manual searches alongside using contractdeals.com, I now fully trust it. And usually tend to just look on there.

It gives you the total contract cost and monthly cost, and you can sort on these, so it is easy to find the 12 month free contracts and low cost ones.

The site is going through a bit of development at the moment but I've always looked at www.reestit-mutton.co.uk for mobile deals. I think he's independent. Last time I looked it hadn't been updated for a couple of months, but it's worth going to it if anyone is looking at buying a phone.

He looks into the terms and conditions and gives the full cost over the contract term if you send all the cashback bits in. Also he doesnt put companies on the site until they are known to have paid cashback to customers.

Through it I once had a free phone with about 200 free minutes and texts that paid me £10 over the year to have it! Not seen another deal like that though I'm afraid :-(
