    Hi,

What type of account was it, how old is it, how much is outstanding, and is it your debt ?

If opened online, a screenshot of a tick box is sufficient to comply with a CCA request.

Let me tell you a few things about Lowell :

They are a specialist debt purchaser,

They take legal action at the drop of a hat, if ignored.

but on the other hand, they offer very good repayment terms, large discounts, you can even repay a discounted amount over a time to suite you.

On a good day, you could get that £320 reduced to £200 fairly easily, and repaid over 6-9 months at a sum you can afford, that would be my way of dealing with this.

Ask if they will discount the balance, say you are in financial difficulties, and you wish to repay over time.

Basically any reasonable repayment option you put to Lowell is normally accepted.

If you can pay a discounted amount all at once, then see if they will accept that.

I've had Lowell send me letters for debts I owed but wrongly ignored due to not having the money. Was the worst thing i did. I got a court letter and threatened ccj. I managed to pay that one off over 3 months.
I called them about the others I owed that hadn't been left so long and I actually found them very helpful. I said an amount that I felt I could afford each month and they were willing to accept lower due to my financial situation. I've managed to keep up with these payments.
Others are right they offer very good discounts to but I chose not to go down that road as I thought they only show as partly settled on your credit file.
