Labour activists playing games on social media

I read this yesterday in the comments on a news article:
"What a terrible shock it was for me and other elderly folk to hear the news that the Conservative party not content with their attacks on the sick and disabled, have now turned their wrath onto us pensioner's."
Then today had a strange sense of deja vu when I read this on a different site:
"What a terrible shock it was for me and other elderly folk to hear the news that the Conservative party not content with their attacks on the sick and disabled, have now turned their wrath onto us pensioner's."
A quick bit of googling & the sad little chaps at Momentum are posting it everywhere: here's a few quick examples:

Gotta love these Momentum types. As dishonest at they come.

Nick Thompson, if that is their real name, uses the same name.
Hardly dishonest, as no attempt is made to change their 'user name'
And I have no idea who they are going to vote for.
Not tory for sure, but who?..._0 -
Of course it's dishonest, they're going onto every local news site & posting the same almost certainly made-up comment. And if you look you'll see it's not always the same username.
Blatant shoddy attempt by Momentum to whip up hatred of the Tories, about on the level of their Virgin Trains stunt. They specialise in this kind of thing.0 -

Labour Future, the centrist grassroots Labour Party campaign group, has posted a fake NHS poster telling voters to buy health insurance, claiming that “from January 2018 the NHS will no longer be a free service”. The poster, bearing the official NHS and Public Health England logos, is complete fake news. It’s pretty distasteful too given it says: “Don’t put your family at risk”. The phone number on the poster puts you through to NHS England, and the poster has been shared over 3,000 times on Facebook. Labour Future are fundraising off the back of this BS, the Facebook post links through to a GoFundMe page. The NHS and Public Health England will not be happy to have their name put to such blatant lies…
UPDATE: Labour Future has now taken down the post.
UPDATE II: An NHS England spokesman tells Guido:
“We treat misuse of the NHS logo extremely seriously and we are investigating the origin of this clearly fake poster. As soon as we became aware that Labour Future had reposted this image we contacted them and asked them to remove it from their social media, which they did.”

It has certainly occurred to me that there are a lot of paid schills (with big money behind them), as well as momentum supporters, infesting social media to try and turn people off voting Conservative and therefore attempt to make Brexit not happen (which of course it wouldn't under labour, aka the communists, who would also completely wreck the country).
Should labour get anywhere near power, this country would deserve all it would get. Doesn't bear thinking about, on so many levels.0 -
Just to add – I find it deeply troubling that hugely powerful and wealthy, and largely hidden, vested interests can undermine democracy in this way, via social media. It is dangerous, not to mention immoral.0

I don't think it's the Labour party you need worry about in terms of all the murky stuff going on right now via social media and personal data manipulation. Here and in the US.Leave.EU was advised by Cambridge Analytica, a company hired by Donald Trump during his US election campaign, which uses artificial intelligence to personalise political messages according to the things voters say and "like" on Facebook. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

Yes, the SNP has used similar data. And even being congratulated by Alexander Nix of Cambridge Analyitica.
Murky stuff indeed.

Hey, I know some of the people who work at this place.
I didn't realize they were part of a secret global organization with headquarters inside a volcano though.
Though the black trench coats, and permanent ear pieces should have given me a clue ....0 -

Thanks to social media. Now impossible to stop leaks occurring. Nothing stays hidden for long. Whereas in days gone by was far harder to gain media traction. The fact that there is so much interference. Reflects in ordinary people wanting to gain control again. Fed up with big brother dominating.0 -
Just to say that I have spent quite a lot of time in the last few days trying to get people to remove from social media a photograph of probably the UK's worst sex offender which had been altered to show a political message. I personally didn't care that much about the political message what I minded about was the person in the photograph. I really didn't want any of his victims to see this photograph on social media. Or in fact anyone who was a victim of sex abuse. At least one of the people I contacted refused to delete it. Someone else accused me of not having a sense of humour. What I can't get out of my mind is how anyone thought that this was good photo to use in a political campaign. I even asked the political party on the social media site to do something about it and so far nothing.
I am appalled that anyone could think that putting a photograph of this man on social media would be appropriate. Not only that but also that the Labour Party don't appear to be doing anything about it.
So it looks as if the Labour party don't mind their supporters using the photographs of sex offenders?0
