It's not I don't like working there, I do, better than when I used to work in McDonald's! It's great to have the option to do loads of work, if I want to etc. Just gets stressful after a long time of doing it! And no, there is like 8 staff trained to do it, and I'm one of them, technically my hours are contracted to checkouts but I haven't been on there for like 2 months... The issue appears to be, someone has left the team to go elsewhere on another department (no surprise) I think due to lack of break cover etc ,which is kind of scary im going to end up doing these hours , and basically now they've left, they just turned it in to 26 hours of overtime instead of getting new staff :/

In all fairness though, they've just got a new manager in charge of the customer services like yesterday, and she wants to speak to me about moving my hours on to the customer services, so I'll give her a chance and propose I just keep my Saturday, and one evening for 4-5 hours to make up my 10 hours, and then say until I go back to uni I'll try and pick up a few extra shifts each week across customer services and Checkouts to get some extra money. Is that a fair proposal?

I think that sounds more than fair! If they wanted someone to work full time they should have hired on a full time contract so they can't complain when you only want to do the hours given in your contract.

I'm back, and karma has struck me for posting this lol. Just looking at the rotas over my break, and in 5 weeks all the overtime appears to cut off for no reason, presuming they have new staff starting that day so that's a good sign! You watch there be like 0 hours overtime now, in this place there is either no hours overtime or hundreds, there is never a nice in between :rotfl:
