so how did you get to ikea if you didnt drive?

anyhow how is this a warning thread ?

    what are you warning about?

everyone knows ikea is busy at weekends so why would that make people think twice about going.

fair doos on the picture frame being overcharged but most stores have discrepencies on prices not just ikea

Ermmm, I gather from reading the OP that the warning is, if it doesn't appear to be in stock, ask and ye shall find (hopefully), also to check receipts.

What is it these days with the attitude from some posters....:confused:

Yep, that'd be shopping at IKEA, flipping hard work! You go in perfectly normal and come out ready to jump off a bridge. If you could go in the exit and it would work the other way round it would be fantastic.

Unfortunately, there are some things, at some prices, that can only be bought from IKEA and that is why we still go! If it is any consolation, on balance, I've generally found that the till mistakes have worked out to my benefit over the years!

My views exactly..thanks for the support...But what I would really like to know is how many "mistakes" were made in Ikea's favour...£2.50 per picture sold is not a bad return!!! When I queried this with customer services (sic) they said it was impossible for them to issue a general notice to those customers who had been overcharged. So I was just warning people on here to check that they hadn't been overcharged.!!!

In order to get fantastic customer service, excellent stock availability and 100% pricing integrity you have to pay a premium.

None of these things will be high priorities for a retailer who targets the lowest prices, volume sales and minimal staffing overheads.

It's naive in the extreme to expect otherwise.

I'd say a single mis-price reported from IKEA is a tribute to the systems and staff they have.

I always found IKEA too big & crowded until I started going in at the exit, and generally staying in the market area. Sometimes hard to get a trolley.
    Nice to save.

ahh I love living near the milton keynes store and being able to go midweek mornings, its like having the place to yourself.... ;)

we tend to nip in just to check for bargains so I watch the prices as they go through, we got a fill your own bag of textiles for a tenner from a big crate full, a leaf light garland reduced from 9-99 to 99p, and a bird light chain from 6-99 to 99p last time, and the leaf light went through at full price, so I pointed it out and they changed it.
