HSBC mortgage - Registering a company at the home address?

Has any one here who has a mortgage with HSBC, registered a business at their home address? If so, did you inform HSBC about this and have they willingly provided their consent.
I ask because I recently read online that someone who approached Nationwide with a similar query was flatly refused permission to do so. Please note that when I refer to business, it is just registering a business for admin stuff - and not avtually running a shop or manufacturing unit from home.

What makes you think you need their consent? Is there something about it in their mortgage conditions?I ask because I recently read online that someone who approached Nationwide with a similar query was flatly refused permission to do so.Please note that when I refer to business, it is just registering a business for admin stuff - and not avtually running a shop or manufacturing unit from home.0 -

Where did you read it?
I can't see why a lender would care if you're just talking about receiving business mail at the address.
I read about it on this form - link below

That appears to be, like you, someone asking for consent for something which doesn't actually require consent. So no wonder they get a confusing answer from the lender. And another related article

That seems to be about actually changing the use of the property rather than just using it as a mailing address.0
