Bullying in workplace

Two weeks ago my manager pushed me into a corner and wouldn't let me pass. He used bad language. I went CAB and they helped me write a letter of grievance to the owner of the company. Outlining what happened. Today, went in meeting with him and had a witness with me. He, basically threatened me with the sack. Didn't and wasn't prepared to do anything about it. He was just going on about how much they have invested in me putting me through an apprentice scheme and giving me a job. I asked for another meeting but to have it put in minutes so it's on the record. Looks like I am getting the sack for my boss pushing me and threatening me.
I have witnesses but he didn't even question them and if he does what he has said to me they are not witnesses anymore because they won't want to have no jobs.
I refuse to leave on my own accord I feel I should pursue this. What can I do? Should I phone ACAS to be with me at the next meeting? That's if I have not been sacked. Been with the company 3 years.

ACAS won't accompany you to a meeting I'm afraid, that is not their role.

Also, and don't misunderstand what I am saying here, "bullying" in itself is not unlawful. So unless this person behaved in a way which amounted to a criminal offence there is only so much you can do.

You cannot force your employer to take disciplinary action against another member of staff. If the behaviour was sufficiently bad and the employer won't act then, in extreme, you may have grounds to resign and claim constructive unfair dismissal. However such cases are hard to win so take proper professional advice before going down that route.

Witnesses not being prepared to "put their heads above the parapet" is all too common I'm afraid. Some will do the honourable thing and support you against the company they work for but most, sadly, won't.

Registered blind, on ESA and DLA etc and held a job for 3 years? That takes some work.

My question, WHY did the manager push you into a corner, im going to guess there is more to the story which is why the company didnt perceive you as the victim. You may be totally innocent in this but in most cases, it's no so.

imo if he pushed you into a corner, that would be physical assault and you would have gone to the police.

Doesn't sound like bullying to me tbh.... Sounds like an isolated incident where the manager has lost their rag with you.

I mean it is wrong that they pushed/trapped you, but I would be eager to know what precipitated it and whether you could be sacked for THAT reason.
