    Set of 1st day covers (stamps), Royal Mint do nice presentation boxes of shiny new coins, a few shares in some kiddy related company, premium bonds....

    National Savings Children's Bonds. They can be opened and then added to by anyone. If you want to, you can get your name put on it as the person who opened it so that they know it was initially from you.
    3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

  • you can buy really nice wooden height charts (from GLTC and MC) which you place pictures in the older/taller they get always wanted one for DD

    I just had some made using my daughters photo to use on her christening invites. Really different gift and cost under £15 for two sheets. I've saved one lot for her baby book.
  • do you have a bear factory close to you i decided to get both my daughters one for there first christmas as they were only 6 months old and then got them one for there bday s too you can have a personalised voice message put in to the teddy toowe did this on there christmas bears they worked out to be roughly £15-20but we thought it was something really special that they could treasure forever

    my youngest who is 15 months loves hearing her name and has developed a dance where she holds the cabinet and wobbles her bottom from side to side

    it sings their name on it in the song, so they think it is singing to them, I have an Ellie, Alfie, and Helana, and they had my kids names no problem
