Help on consent to let and BTL

Hey everyone I was hoping someone could shed some light on this topic.
I am a first time buyer and would like to buy a property. We have recently seen a property that we like and are easily able to put in an offer and move in. My only concern is what if my daughter doesn't get into the schools I want her to go to. There aren't many schools that are great. My question is if we buy the property (its in west London) and apply for schools and do not get in we still have the option of staying where we are which is on the east side of London for a few more years until she starts secondary school, would we be able to get a consent to let right after a mont of getting a normal residents mortgage. The plan would be to rent out the property for 2 years or so.
Thanks in advance

You wouldn't be able to apply for consent for at least 6 months. Then it's at the discretion of the lender.0
