New debt through the post this morning. Rather then panic I just added it to my list. Which shows how different I look at money now. The depressing thing was I recognized the debt letter just from the envelope. I have come accustomed to looking at the envelope and knowing straight away who it is that is hollering at my door.

    I will pay it off.

Thank you. I have buried my head in the sand for so long but no more. Some of these debts are 6 years old!!. I think I hoped they would be wiped off somehow. Reality is that isnt going to happen and I have to pay my debts off whether I like it or not. I want a house and I am not going to get that knee deep in debt.

My name is indigo and I am an emotional spender. I spend when I am sad and I spend when I am happy. My phone went bust today. It had been dropped one too many times and just didnt survive the fall this time. I needed a new phone for keeping in contact with social services and my children. I went for the cheapest phone they had and I put the rest of the money into savings.

  • So I am living on child benefit at the moment and going on a strict no spend challenge until my next payday. Only thing I am going to buy is sandwich stuff for when my children come over. I have looked in the cupboards and I have 14 main meals in there. Mainly pasta but I can survive for two weeks. I am doing this to give my EF a boost.

I aim to save £500 by the end of rhe month.

Today I went for a walk to the shops and took stock of where I am at. I have decided the goal of owning my own home by 40 may not be achievable. I am going to focus on getting out of debt first and then work on owning my house.

    I have to be realistic.
