Bump.
I wonder if one of you kind souls could answer my question about oven temp for the meat.
Much appreciated.

Sorry, I've never had much luck oven cooking beef. I would just say though, don't cut the string off the brisket even when cooked or it'll go flat.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0

Hi Merlot,
I have a Neff fan oven - in mine low would be about 140 - 150 and high would be 180 - 190. HTH.0 -
Sorry, I'm dreaming - the other thing is that your pork chops should have been delicious cooked like that BUT it sometimes depends on the pork, which of all the meats seems to me to be the most cardboardy if not free range. I am trying to convert to free range everything but it's more expensive, so we have meat less often now - but I bought some lovely free range chops from a pig farm and the difference was extraordinary - they were tender, tasty etc etc. So it might have been the meat and not you and your oven at all.0

Thats what my mother said when I told her about the way I cooked it, it wasn't cheap meat either, purchased from tescos, I have found recently the quality in Tesco is not as good as it use to be, so as from today I am going to try out the local butcher, their is always a huge queue, but I know why now."Wisdom doesn't automatically come with old age.
