State pension

I am at present on Incapacity benifit and have been for a number of years but I will be 60 soon and wondered what will happen.

Will I be better going on my State pension or deffering it and staying on Incapacity benifit?

IIRC you will be automatically switched over, with a pension credit top-up if appropriate.
    Trying to keep it simple...;)

    Hi

You can't stay on long term incapacity benefit past pension age. Even if you could, you wouldn't be entitled to the benefits that deferral carries, as the very fact that you'd be receiving another benefit in place of it would exclude you.

    Hope this helps.
