CRS txting me every day over old Pixie Loans

Hello,

I have the following issue and was wondering if someone could help me figure out what I should do:

CRS (Credit Resource Solutions) are txting me every day regarding a very old debt (but not older that 6 yearsicon) to a payday loanicon company Pixie Loans.

They only text, never call and I never received any letters via post,
I think they don't know my address as I have moved.

They are threatening with court actions and CCJs.
And told me that they have sent me a letter but I never received anything apart from regular texts.

Is there anything they can really do,
can they really take me to court if I have not received any official letters via post?

I was thinking of sending them a letter and asking to do everything only in writing
but at the same time if they do not know my address and my email address
- I do not want to give them that information.
And sending a letter without a return address doesn't seem to make sense...

Not sure what to do in this case.
Are these texts enough to get me a CCJ?
should I reply?

All they need in order to get the CCJ against you is the last address you've provided them, some proof of the debt existing and copy of the pre-action letter they've sent to the last address you've provided them. Since you didn't keep them up with the address you will not know that they are suing you, and will only find out about the CCJ when you check the registry/credit file.
They don't have to bother finding your existing address up to this point, and they absolutely must sue you on the last address you've provided them.

And when they have the CCJ they can enforce it, and if they want to do that they will then find your current address and use that too, for example, send bailiffs at to enforce the debt - depending if it's worth the hassle.

So get in touch with them, negotiate and start repaying your debts if you can (if you can't, offer token payments). Hiding usually only leads to CCJs.

If you want to get a CCJ by default, continue ignoring them.

They dont know your new address, so cant really do much to you, except ruin your credit file for 6 years.

If you want to avoid all that, simply write to them with your new address, ask them to send proof of the debt first and foremost.

See what they come back to you with.

Just checked my credit on SlearScore. No sign of CRS. I can see my previous default (the ones that's already closed as fully satisfied), can see my bank, credit cards etc, but no sign of CRS...
Which makes me question if they are even legit.
  • To be honest a PRIORITY debt got me pretty much in the way you describe, automated call/message each day, whether it was good Friday or not when it started! but still with it early days got it sapped there and there, it's not yet even on my credit report whereas NON PRIORITY pay loans... Well

Turns out the bill payer before in my property who also it now seems fell behind with the priority electricity too has in recent days received mail from a Northampton address...... (I get the pleasure of putting mail as "addressee gone away" back in postbox) so shall shortly have a ccj in their name I imagine, all because they thought they were safe with no one knowing their new address, it's taken just under 2 years of seeing unwanted mail but I'm sure they are on route to achieving it!

Hope you get why now why you shouldn't avoid anything for to long. Whether on report or not. (It's really no firm indicator of anything)

Hey keepcalm, you really ought to read your posts from the point of view of readers who don't know your situation and ask yourself if they make sense, this one doesn't.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.
