I knew about this little con a few years back - and I'm sure most parents of babies noticed it too.

Another one is the different priced nann breads. You'll find them next to ready-meals, near the bread, the 'foods of the world' and other ethnic food sections. Each price will be different.

The removal of the stupid tax is going to cost us all, that loss of profit is going to be recouped somewhere.

I am still working my way though the Costco six pack of x200 Johnsons cotton buds. I hope to use them up before I die.

Known the price difference for many years.

All of a sudden MSE discover it. WOW!

Everybody at MSE Towers need to get out into the real world instead of training as journalists for the Daily Mail.

Just after this revolutionary reduction in price, all the cosmetic buds were promptly sold out in my local Sainsbury's, yet to be re-stocked...

A bit of media attention, and suddenly the whole population needs cosmetic buds as a matter of urgency!!!

ETA: I particularly like how they call it an "investigation"... as if it required skilled intelligence to conclude that there was a difference in price.

The difference in price is not due to different VAT rates it is simply a case of the shop / manufacturer charging what it can get away with. Other instances have been identical medicines being labelled for different ailments at different prices and charging more for razors being marketed to women than those for men.

It's no different to finding the same product more expensive per ml or gram for a different size, it's standard marketing.
