Robinson Way Statute Barred

Hi All,
I have a problem with Robinson way. They have sent a notice of pending legal action via Howard Cohen and Co.
I had a default on my file which came off early part of last year. The default date pointed to 2010 but I believe it would actually have been in 2009 and Hoist amended it. The letters began just as this became statute barred and dropped off my file, and have continued periodically on a cycle from please get jn touch, payment plans, to discount proposals.
Upon receipt of this letter I promptly fired off the statute barred letter. Do I need to do anything else? I haven't made any payments or acknowledgements.
Any help would be much thank you'd.

Hi, what happened after you sent the statute barred letter?
Reason I ask is I have an old £200 debt Robinson Way have been chasing me for years for and has been statute barred since at least 2012. They have been quiet the last few years but have recently started sending me letters over the last couple of months again.0 -

I guess that means the SB letter shut them up.
Have you sent one?0 -

Just an update... I sent off a statute barred letter and they wrote back saying it is not barred as I entered into a payment plan with them for £10 a month on 26th May 2012. They haven't included proof that I entered into a payment plan with them on that date.
Considering it was already barred or borderline barred in 2012 there would have been no way that I would have entered into an agreement with them and I certainly didn't start paying them no £10 a month in 2012 either.
If what they are saying is true, which I highly doubt, then it would be statute barred in 3 months time anyway.0 -
Update again... Just found a copy of my old Experian credit file from 2013 in amongst my old paperwork. No mention of this old debt on it that Robinson Way are claiming, therefore it was definitely statute barred way back in 2013 at least.0

Statute barred is different to a default, default comes off after 6 years. Statute barred clock resets if a payment is made as its acknowledgement of account.0

No payment been made. Account not listed on my credit files.0
