Afternoon all,
Most of you are aware that I had a interview on Tuesday (May 2) with Express Gifts in Accrington, well this afternoon, I got a phone call saying I got the job with picking with a hand scanner and I start on Monday (May 15) at 7.50am and it's weekly pay which is excellent.
What I want to know is that, do I still need to do job search now? as I have appointment tomorrow at my job centre and just wondering, if I don't fill in my Universal Job Match will they say something to me even though I am starting work on Monday?
Regards.

My son had a start date fro a job but was told by job centre he needed to continue filling in job search right up until start date or it could affect his payment0

You continue seeking work until you start your job, otherwise your UC will not be paid.
Congratulations on your job. Ensure you dress appropriately.0 -

When I signed on last year they didn't care about it once I'd been offered a job, but my 'coach' wasn't particularly interested from the start anyway!
Definitely do it. No reason to risk your payments.
Congratulations on the job.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
As others have said - carry on with Jobsearch. I know it's a waste of everybody's time, but the coach at JC can put a tick in the required box!0
