£10 a day challenge with full time job

Options
Hi all,

I was just wondering how easily everyone completed the £10 a day challenge on a monthly basis when you have a full time job and a family?

I'd like to be able to do this as we would like to save for a holiday using only additional money earned.

What are your best ways of meeting your monthly challenge?

My aim is £3k over 10 months but it doesn't sound achievable to me

Thank you

Have a look through the "Make £2017 in 2017" thread, plenty of good ideas in there.

There are lots of ideas on the £10 a day challenge threads. Most people don't hit that target every day, but do hit it over the month., They will have days when they make nothing and others when they make up for it (e.g. when all their ebay sales finish).

Look at the £10 a day challenge. Lots of ideas on there. It's a lovely supportive group.

Lots of ideas, especially in the first posts of earlier months of the challenge. Anything you'd like to know just ask. We love company on the thread. I've been a member of the challenge for about 2 years now and there's not many months when I haven't hit my monthly target even though my opportunities for making money are fairly limited.

Hope to see you over there:beer:

why didn't you post this on the £10 a day challenge thread? We would have loved to answer this for you over there :)

We all use different methods to earn the £10 a day. It doesn't always happen everyday, sometimes it is a cumulative effect, eg selling on ebay something for £40, that automatically covers 4 days, as long as this is after fees of course.

If you have a smartphone there are apps you can do for surveys that are fast and don't take a lot of time. I regularly use apps and I work part time. I do the questionnaires when walking to school, sitting down, walking aroudn the house, etc.

There are some apps you don't have to do anything, you just leave them running on your phone and they credit you monthly/weekly.

Do you have old cds/dvds/books? sell them to one of the many sites on line. You won't get as much as if you sold them yourself on ebay/amazon, but it is money in one hit, and that could be a good chunk of your challenge money.

There are lot's of little things, we all do different things.

Carbootcrazy loves prolific academic as it is one of the best survey sites for paying out. If you have half an hour in the evening, sit down, log on and see if there are any surveys for you. Or if you are watching tv, why not try doing a few surveys. I am constantly one eye on screen and one eye on my phone doing surveys.

I really must update my signature to show some of the sites i have earnt money with.

Do you shop online? do you go through cashback sites?

I for one have had difficulty finding this challenge so I am not surprised that the OP couldn't find it. Its also in the Debt Free Wannabe section of the forum. I have only recently discovered this as a resource as I have no debt. Thanks all for all the advice and the link tho. Going over to have a look now myself

OP was thinking they couldn't manage to make the challenge monthly working full time and with a family.

It's MSE who post the board in debt free wannabe challenges section. We were always in debt free wannabe and then got moved to the challenges section.

Welcome to the thread though, and even if you choose to just read, hope you are able to gain something useful from it.

I will say we have seen people on the challenge become debt free, mortgage free over the years. So it is wonderful to see those posts.
