Mortgage credit check

Hi all

I have my mortgage application pending at present. I am looking to do energy switch. When at end of application it asked it will need to do credit check.

I kind of panicked and canceled the application. My current credit score is 999 and i don't want to cause any dampener on the credit score for my mortgage application.

Will my credit score be affected or mortgage application if i was to proceed with energy switch?

I'm sure a broker will respond to this definitively (it may depend on who your potential Mortgage company is?) - but I wouldn't let it stop me.

A utility account is not the same as a £15k personal loan.

I also did a utility switch and it's shown as negative in my score and dropped it by 25 on experian!
