Halifax refusing DMP

Hello Everybody.
OK and breath! Last month I had my LBM and contacted StepChange. They recommended a DMP to pay back 4 creditors who I owe a total of £21000 between them. Had to tell my DH and he went mad but calmed slightly when I told him of the DMP.
My first payment is to go out on the 1st of June but i received a letter from Stepchange to say that the Halifax were refusing the payment because either the name or the address didnt match the account.
Here is where the problem lies , I think, because I have a double barrelled name and I use my known name for 2 credit cards , I have used my know name for Years, and my DMP is in this name.
Contacted Halifax and they said to go into branch with my ID, known name is on the account, so went in branch and they said they could do nothing!!! Contacted StepChange and they said they would sent a note with the details????
Will this mess up my DMP. The lady from stepchange said that they had not heard from the other creditors and this was good as they had said if they agreeded hte creditors didnt have to contact them.
Still very nervous and worried about the whole thing as up until last month before contacting stepchange I had never missed a payment.

Hi,
Don't panic, these things have a habit of working themselves out, put in a written complaint, tell the Halifax to get there act together.
Come on over to the DMP mutual support thread if you need any further help or just to say Hi !!
