  • Hi

I see you managed to resolve your conflict with Anytime fitness
Was wondering if you had any advise and if you can tell me how you resolved this?

My situation is that I cancelled my contract at the end of 2016. I notified the branch of my intention to cancel and they advised me to email to cancel the contract which I did immediately

I only recently noticed they have still been charging me for this under the name 'clubwise'

After investigating what this was I discovered it was from Anytime fitness

So they have been charging me for over 2 and a half years for my cancelled membership without me realising!

Any advise would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

    David

Check your statements more than once every 30 months?

Also send them your evidence of cancellation if you still have it.

David, I check my bank account almost every day, in future I suggest you do the same.

You never looked at your statements once for two and a half years ?

You can try a written complaint and see if that bears any fruit, but really the onus is on you to notice things like this.

  • Hi,
Could you help me with your advice how to deal with my problem? I actually cancelled anytime membership not correctly as I was totally not aware of the conditions - didn’t read them when signing , I was new to gym membership. When they wrote to me by email I replied and explained this and also that I have developed a problem with my knees and can’t use the gym. I was waiting for their reply which they have never bothered to give. They were sending letter and sms messages from 6 different phones. Then on Monday I received a letter saying that they ban me from gyms and give my case to credit dept. And today I received sms message from debt collectors ! Please could you give advice how to deal with this ? Thank you , Svitlana

PS I used the gym only once during 5 months I paid for it.
