Charging order-help!

I paid off a debt which had an interim charging order on my property. I assumed that the charge would be removed once paid off, in 2012. I'm probably going to settle my mortgage soon. I checked the land registry and the charge is still there!! It's to Capquest. How do I get a certificate of satisfaction etc. without the paperwork? I've lost it now. Also is this going to cost me hundreds of £ to sort out? Can I still pay off the mortgage?
The land registry website is the most un user friendly thing ever! I also want to update my name and add a name once mortgage is paid but it's so bureaucratic and I bet I end up sending the wrong form or ticking the wrong box. Grrrr!
Help appreciated!

I should also point out that they accepted a part payment as "full and final settlement"0

Suggest asking a board guide to move this to the more general mortgage board, you'll get more answers.0

I have just paid a debt wgich had a charge using a f&f
I got it in writing that a condition of the f&f was that the charging order was removed.
I rang then on Tuesday 8 weeks after I had paid and they hadnt emoved the charge. After being shouted at they got their solicitors onto it that day, 2 days later when my remortgage solictors looks at the Land registry it had gone and it didn't cost me a penny0 -
Btw sorry for the spelling mistakes, big fingers, little phone lol0

Most likely it is an admin failure. They happen frequently where charge holders forget to file a form to remove the charge. Get on to Capquest and tell them to get the charge lifted at the Land Registry. It shouldn't cost you anything as it is their mistake. If they make a fuss, just point out that they have no debt in their books that the charge applies to so they have no right to the charge over the property.MortgageStart Nov 2012 £310,000
