Hi everyone
Just new last week however have found forum an absolute godsend for hints and tips. Hope someone can answer my query. I made the call to CCCS re my os debt (£37k) and I have an appt next week (none available this week). I hope they can assist me with a DMP as this is the route I would like to take. What I was wondering was if they agree to assist me do they liaise with my creditors on my behalf or do they advise meu what to do and leave me to deal with my creditors on my own. I don't think I would be capable of dealing with the creditors on my own so you can imagine I am concerned.
Thanks again everyone, it makes a difference knowing there are others out there who can relate to what you are going through.
Regards

Hi Mayz, :hello:
I've a DMP with the CCCS, they send you a standard letter that you photocopy fill in the details and send off to your creditors with a token payment, I think you also include a copy of your budget as well - apologies if this is wrong I've got post-baby brain at the moment.

hi Mayz
welcome
I am also on dmp with cccs.
As you have already been kindly advised they send you a notification to send to all your creditors and a pamplet detailing information about everything to do with a dmp.
I went online with cccs and completed my income and expenditure with cccs and they recommended a dmp, i did not speak with them on the phone not sure if this would be an option for you rather then waiting for an appointment with them to call. My plan was set up in a couple of weeks.
It might be a good idea to have all your up to date statements from creditors together so it will be easier for you if you do decide to go ahead with dmp.
Good luck anyway and welome again.
bye for now0 -
Definitely get up to date statements as they need the whole picture, they will do as said above get you to send a letter, then will agree a budget with you.
Once this is done the amount paid to your creditors is agreed and CCCS contact them to ask them to agree to the reduce payments and asking them to stop interest. You then pay the total amount agreed to CCCS on 1st month, they pay your creditors and take on correspondence to them.
