Jacques Vert make women's clothing, which seems to be at odds with OP's husband's employment.
A long shot, but if this was a contracted out scheme then would DWP be able to tell OP who is responsible for paying the GMP?0 -
If you read xylophone's post he has found part of the weird and wonderful history of the former employer and that they were both women's clothing and specialist engineering manufacturers !Silvertabby wrote: »Jacques Vert make women's clothing, which seems to be at odds with OP's husband's employment.0 -

See post 10 above re relationship between William Baird PLC (Huge textiles/clothing interests) and its specialist engineering subsidiary Darchem.0 -
The OP's husband became a deferred pensioner of Darchem Group when he left employment in 1990.
Darchem Group was at that stage a subsidiary of William Baird PLC.
If employees of Darchem Group were members of the Baird Group Pension Scheme (as seems likely), then the OP's husband is a deferred pensioner of BGPS.
With regard to what happened to BGPS see links in post 10.0 -
Finally had a response from Hymans Robertson who say they cannot find my Husband on their system.
Would it be best to go back to the pensions advisory service?
Is it likely they will be able to trace this pension, having already given us the wrong pension company in the first place?0 -
Have you tried asking DWP if your husband was contracted out for this period and, if he was, if they can tell you who is responsible for paying the GMP?0

Hubby cannot remember if he was contracted out or not? Nothing mentioned on the Government Pension Records site.
The certificate notes say:
1. Please contact the secretary to the trustees at Darchem Ltd 6 months before the date given (2020) to make arrangements for the payment of your pension etc
2. When your pension is due to commence you will be able to commute all or part of the pension for a lump sum or surrender part in order to provide an annuity for you widow or another dependant etc
3. A pension payable to a member, once it commences, is guaranteed to be paid for a period of 5 years and thereafter during the remainder of his lifetime.
There is no mention of GMP value other than the amount stated of preserved pension of £131.00 per annum.
It is a very small certificate...
Thanks for the links - will look into these during next week - have been away for most of the weekend0 -

I wouldn't expect a deferred benefit statement to show the GMP.
Fingers crossed that DWP can throw some light on this for you.0
