Creidt card application refused

Hi all,

I applied to a credit card recently and was refused - i've never had any problem before so i'm concerned.

However my worry is that my mortgage ends in january and i want to change providers.

Is this likely to affect the rate i am offered or the number of options available?

We do have a low LTV (?) value. The mortgage is about 60% of the house value so would this help our case?

Cheers for any help

  • Best thing to do is NOT to apply for any credit before getting your credit file. Have a hunt on here & see how to get it free!! (think its with sign up which you then cancel). Can anyone provide a link? You need to know what is what & why you were refused credit and then will need to investigate which lenders are the best with your rating. Also suggest you dont do the expensive instant credit file that I did as it was rubbish & took ages to come & even then was rubbish! Hope you sort it. Let us know how you get on :)
