NEXT Clearance at Clarks village

Options
Went to Street last week. Got some bargains in Next Clearance, some Next kids clothes and accessories, but the shop seemed full of clothes by the make 'LIME'. Anyone know what the deal is?
The clothes were really bad quality, not the same look as Next at all, and the cotton was very, very thin and raggy. The sizes were rubbish to (Boys 3-4,5-6,7-8,9-10) No inbetweens at all.
3/4 of the shop was Lime so I was really confused and won't be back in a hurry!!!

  • I noticed that the NEXT claearance in West Bromwich is devoting more and more space to 'Lime' tat. It is, like you say, terrible quality rags. Perhaps NEXT think we'll buy any old rubbish so long as it comes under the Clearance umbrella? I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

I've discovered in Nottingham where the next clearance shop used to be there is a huge lime, but all the clothes have next labels on, so i'm a little confused as to whether it's a new shop or next clearance just changing their name?

Lime is next's "downmarket" or cheapo brand/range, to compete with the likes of Primark and supermarket clothing on price. There are some standalone Lime stores.

  • Lime stuff is rubbish. The sizes come up really small and the quality is naff. Freeport, Fleetwood has loads of this stuff in and it never seems to sell well. The shoes are of a really poor quality as well. When I go to a Next Clearance what I want to buy is Next stuff. We all know that it is usually things that did not sell in the normal Next shops sales but what the hell. You can have a really good rummage and sometimes find a good bargain. The £2/£4 sale are fab. Good quality at cheap prices. If I want to buy a cheaper range of clothes I go to Primark, Asda, Tesco. I certainly would not go out of my way to a designer outlet place for cheap tat!!! Get your act together Next and ditch the Lime range once and for all!!!
