Tesco Mortgages?

So we've had a meeting with our broker and discussed all of our options and decided that Tesco Mortgages would be the best product for us to apply for.
Broker keyed in all of our info and the decision has been referred...
Has anyone had any experience of Tesco mortgages? My broker says that they are relatively new to the intermediary market. To be honest i was a little surprised that we could apply for a mortgage with them with me having a default on my credit file, albeit nearly 5 years old, for £350 and satisfied, but then again I'm not a qualified mortgage adviser!
I'm just worried that it won't get through the underwriting process...does anyone have any experience with Tesco?
With Thanks, from a worried FTB.

Tesco's criteria is not black and white re adverse credit history, which is probably why it referred. Having said that, a default 5yrs ago could be ok, as they are more concerned about "recent" issues.I am a Mortgage BrokerYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
