Fit4Less Harlands gym cancellation

I came across your post and wondered what happened with Harlands? I'm in the same situation after seeing their FAQ page which said just cancel your DD, i did so and am now being chased for 2 months payments and a £20 admin fee. They've also since removed their FAQ pages howvever when i joined i didn't sign a contract and was given no paperwork so i don't feel like they have a leg to stand on.

I wrote them a response confirming the FAQ page and the fact that i was never informed of a 1 month notice period however their response ignored all of that and simply asked me for the money again.

Any advice on what i should do?

So, i've found myself in a similar situation to others in this post.

Regarding the FAQ section that states that you should just cancel your direct debit and that counts as a cancellation... I believed this too and so did it, i've just got an email with the standard you've not paid your bill yadayada heres an admin fee.

So this got me looking for the fabled faqs again... Turns out that page is here fitness4less .co.uk/faqs which is fitness4less .co.uk not f4l. com

I've replied to fit4less stating that i will pay an additional months fee to fulfil their required 30days notice and nothing more as the additional charge is unlawful.

My son just had the same issue, these are unregulated and seems they can just keep making the threats to call in the debt collector! Been onto trading standards etc also watch Watchdog! They’ve been on before coming up with the same low-level tactics to keep taking money off genuine people. How they can still operate in this country is beyond me.
